I don’t bet when it’s almost a sure thing. [He flicks through the photos with drawn brows and stares at the last one for a long moment.]

Lance has too many pictures. [Did they test his tolerance limits too? More texts blip in and he drops his phone onto a pillow.]

Shiro was a victim. He didn’t plan any of it.

Smart plan. [He hums thoughtfully, finally looking at his phone and noticing just how many photos Prompto and Gladio are both sending him.]

Aaaand that's those two confirming their guilt in this. [He sighs, shaking his head. Best way to find out is simply asking Gladio, but...]

So how long do you think they'll last with a Shiro and Ignis tag team? Because pretty sure that'll be a thing happening since Gladio's mentioning a joint training session.

[The phone shakes with more messages. He doesn't hear it.]

They're not going to last more than five minutes. I could save them by actually talking to Shiro but I'm going to leave that alone.

[Talk? No, he needs to mull it over. He checks his phone.]

I see they talked Coran into helping with their plan. Add Allura to team revenge.

Judging by some of these pics, I say they earned the ass kicking.

[His phone vibrates again, but he doesn't look at it just yet. Shrugging.]

So long as they don't drag Cor- [He checks his phone.] Well, it was nice knowing them.

[Though now he has an idea. He checks his pocket, finding a sigil, and the smirk that crosses his face at the sight of it as he puts it on...]

I'll spare a Megalixir for this. After, I'd like to see just how they'll stand against me alone.

[He raises his eyebrows at a few pictures on his phone. No wonder Shiro is pestering him to talk. Shiro means everything to him. The idea of losing him to anything even himself is fear that nestled deep inside long ago. He finally texts back to Shiro that they’ll talk when this is over. ]

Alright. Let Shiro and Allura have their time too. They need to blow off the steam.

Then I’ll talk to Shiro.

[And as his phone starts to vibrate with those involved in Team Revenge responding in agreement, all he can do is chuckle.]

Oh, don't worry. Ignis is already planning the gauntlet. Shiro and Allura likely get to go first.

[And that would be Ignis texting both of them (along with all of Team Revenge) exactly that. Is he good at predicting his childhood friend or what?]

[It's a welcome distraction from the upcoming talk. Keith asks for a turn, aware that Shiro might ask to work with him.

They could do it. But Allura...As if reading his mind, Shiro lets him fight alone.]

Well, looks like we got a boss rush set up.

[Noctis is about to answer when Ignis responds to the group text as well.

'I must request a one-on-two match as well. Do not advise me otherwise, Marshal.'
'You sure, Specs?'
'Indubitably.'

There if a brief moment where Noctis simply blinks at the screen, but then, a smirk spreads from ear to ear. He can just see his brother pushing up his glasses with a finger.]

So Allura and Shiro, then the Immortal. followed by Ignis, then yourself - ending with me.

[He shakes his head, trying to hide his amusement.]

Guess Lance'll learn why Ignis' actual title isn't "adviser", but "Hand of the Future King." He may not be of royal blood, but he's the one who's mastered my family's magic the most of the three of them.

Lance better learn to be an actual Right Hand of Voltron then. [He blinks, eyes widening when Shiro tells him to take the Black Bayard for his fight. He's never seen Shiro use it but for him to use it now.

'Keith, take the Bayard.'
'...are you sure? That's the symbol of the Black Paladin.'
'That's exactly why you should use it. Besides it's only fair. Lance has his bayard and he can use more than one weapon from it.'

Keith grabs his coat and pulls it on. His hoverbike is parked outside the apartment.]

Once food gets here lets head to the Castleship early. Shiro wants me to use the Black Bayard. ...I need to see what forms it will take for me before I get into a fight.

It'll be an interesting sight, that's for sure.

[The only advantage they'll have is that Gladio trained him, and Ignis on occasion spared with the big guy. Otherwise it was Cor who taught him and, well. There's a reason the Marshal gained the title "the Immortal."

The only trick he has that Gladio hasn't seen? Is the sigil he just put on.]

Gotcha. Want a bit of a warm up then?

Yeah. I haven't picked up the bayard in a long time. I don't know what forms it will take for me now.

[But he suspects he'll have more than one. A lot has settled inside him. He jerks his head up at the sound on the door and grabs his wallet. He opens the door and pays for the food.]

Ever been on a hoverbike before? [He waits for the delivery guy to leave as he snags his keys from their hook and ducks to grab a spare helmet. The Castleship isn't far but Shiro would never let him hear the end of it if they don't wear helmets.]

Well, it's a good thing I have practically an entire armory at the snap of my fingers.

[By which he means: he can probably help him figure out any unfamiliar weapons the bayard takes for him. It's part of his own training to be as familiar as possible with every kind of weapon under the Eosian sun, after all.

He moves to put his things back in the armiger at the sound at the door. Pausing only briefly.]

Motorcycle, yes. Hoverbike, no. [Keith he can literally warp out of danger it's fiiiiine.]
