[Given to the fact that she too finds fun in wearing the most outlandish things, she doesn't seem to mind most people in the queerest of garbs. (In fact, sometimes she even takes ideas from them when she feels she can replicate it with fabrics or leather.) It's just another day in the life of runt-of-the-litter turned adventurer and trying on all the goofy hats (yes, even the horse ones) she can find!
In fact, she's looking at one she just recently picked up from a vendor at Mih Khetto's Ampitheatre when something very red and brown catches her eye.
...What in the realms was that scarf and where can she find one; it is gorgeous!
Though wait... did he not have a weapon? That's weird. She knows she hasn't seen this fellow around before, and he definitely isn't a local. In fact she's pretty sure she's never seen a Hyur dress this way before.
Well, might as well say hello to contrast the stinkeyes the elezen are giving him! Thus she bounds up, hands clenched behind her back before she waves enthusiastically.]
[There's not a weapon to be seen, no, and unless it's hidden by that scarf or tucked away into a pocket, it probably means that he really doesn't have one. But there are methods of travel that at least manage to avoid the worst of any sort of fighting and it's not impossible that he's come by one of those.
Of course, she'll have to ask to know for certain, but surely that's not so hard under the circumstances. However, as she makes her way over to him, it will become more than apparent that he really is quite tall for a hyur. Assuming of course that he is one, but given that even hair like his is unlikely to really over the ears of an elezen it's a reasonable enough assumption to make.]
[He does seem to find a way to get himself into trouble on a regular basis, and finding himself running into a self-described lodestone for same is hard something out of the ordinary. In fact, she may well be something of a kindred spirit, in that regard, but he doesn't really mention it. Instead, he simply offers a grin to go with his words.
As first encounters go, he's certainly had worse, after all.]
And if you're offering I would say no to a little assistance. Especially since I imagine you might know where the most interesting places here are.

Hello there! Are you newly come to Gridania?
/o/

Oh yes. Very recently even, you could say.
oh my god INBOX... (I am so sorry ;__; )
Then welcome to Gridania, good sir! I am Y'akeno, one of the local trouble lodestones.
[A bow, as though she is very proud of this fact.]
Do ye need any assistance findin' yer way? This place can be quite bothersome to navigate, an' the locals are oft to be found startled by newcomers.
no worries!
